Prayers of the Faithful

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time - January 15-16, 2022

Priest: Like the couple in Cana, we invite the Lord Jesus, Mary, and the apostles to our celebration. We invoke their names as we turn to God in prayer.

1. For Christian unity, may all be one, as Jesus prayed, WE PRAY TO THE LORD ...

2. For all nations, races, and religious groups, may Martin Luther King’s dream of peace be fulfilled among us, WE PRAY TO THE LORD ...

3. For lawmakers and healthcare workers, may they work to protect the sanctity of life, WE PRAY TO THE LORD ...

4. For our wailing wall prayers, our prayer book intentions, our prayer list; and our personal intentions… WE PRAY TO THE LORD ...

5. For this community, may we heed Mary’s call to do whatever Jesus tells us, WE PRAY TO THE LORD ...

6.May Christ, who commanded that the mysteries which proclaim His death be celebrated until His return, grant that all who die in Him may share in His resurrection and TO THE BENEFICIARY OF TODAY’S INTENTION
